Everton are now heading back from their warm-weather training camp in the United Arab Emirates.

David Moyes’ side now have their next Premier League game against Wolves on Saturday night to prepare for.

After replacing Sean Dyche back in January, Moyes has completely transformed things on Merseyside.

Everton are on a seven-game unbeaten run in the Premier League after pulling themselves clear of the relegation zone.

However, it seems the 61-year-old may have now made his first real Everton mistake over the last week or so.

There are not many who could question the work done by Moyes since returning, but there is one player who may feel he has deserved more of an opportunity.

Martin Sherif send clear message to David Moyes at Everton

Coaches at Everton are raving about Martin Sherif as the young striker is being tipped to be a real star for the future.

But he was unable to earn a call up to the warm-weather training camp over in Abu Dhabi.

Having been left out of the travelling squad, Sherif has not sulked, instead he has been able to find the back of the net in both games he’s played for the U21s.

The latest goal came on Monday night as he guided Everton to another 2-1 victory, this time against Widnes.

Despite making the bench a number of times amid Everton’s striker injury crisis, Sherif was not handed an opportunity as a substitute.

The trip to the Middle East looked like a good opportunity for the 18-year-old and Moyes to get to know each other some more, but he did not receive the call up.

Armando Broja has now returned to Everton training in what could be a blow to Sherif.

However, the youngster has done his chances no harm over the last week in scoring twice in his two games for the U21 side.

Sherif sends clear message to David Moyes

The message being sent from Sherif to Moyes could not be clearer: he feels he is ready to make the next step.

Beto failed to impress against Brentford, with the in-form striker missing some huge opportunities to secure the victory.

Perhaps Moyes felt Sherif’s time would have been better spent actually getting some minutes under his belt with the U21s side.

However, the striker continues to bang on the door for his Everton debut as he dominates the youth divisions.

Moyes has not made many errors since returning to Merseyside, but overlooking Sherif during this fine run of form may well be one.
