It is just a matter of hours now separating David Moyes and his reunion with the Everton fans on Wednesday night.
Everton take on Aston Villa on Wednesday as Moyes makes his return to Goodison Park after being appointed manager over the weekend.
There will be a number of players looking to impress Moyes over the coming weeks to earn themselves a spot in his starting XI.
Moyes is already relying on Seamus Coleman to provide experience behind the scenes in the Everton dressing room.
But this appointment could offer numerous players with a fresh start on Merseyside.
And there is one player, in particular, who has already been spotted talking privately with the 60-year-old at Finch Farm.

David Moyes holds Everton talks with Jesper Lindstrom
Since signing on loan in the summer, Jesper Lindstrom has wanted to play regular football for Everton during Sean Dyche’s time at the club.
Regular starts have not been so easy to come by for the Danish winger who was withdrawn through injury in his last league outing against Bournemouth.
However, Lindstrom has already been spotted talking privately to Moyes at Finch Farm following the 60-year-old’s appointment over the weekend.
Lindstrom was signed from Napoli over the summer on a season-long loan deal with the Dane looking to earn himself a permanent move to Merseyside.
Everton are looking to sign a new forward this month with their attacking output not being up to scratch so far.
Ernest Nuamah is a player of interest to Everton and could provide real competition for Lindstrom at Goodison.
But the Danish winger will be hoping for a fresh start under Moyes after a difficult spell under Dyche.
Jesper Lindstrom left fuming at Everton under Sean Dyche
Ahead of Moyes’ first game, Everton are slumped just one-point above Ipswich Town who occupy the last spot in the relegation zone.
Serious work is needing to be done and there are two difficult games coming up for Everton against Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur, this week.

Lindstrom is a player with a point to prove having admitted he was left furious during Dyche’s spell as the manager.
“It is the Premier League. You will not play if you aren’t good. He had a good game and we lost. I am fuming,” he told the Liverpool Echo after the loss to Southampton.
Lindstrom has admitted he wants to stay at Everton beyond this season, but he will have to start showing more if he is to earn a permanent deal.
