Everton are in the market to improve their squad in the January transfer market after an underwhelming start to the season.
Considerable change has taken place on Merseyside over the last month with Everton fans being offered a fresh start.
The Friedkin Group are keen to sign two players with a new forward and midfielder high on the agenda at Goodison Park.
However, there is another position which they are said to be considering as an area for improvement at full-back.
Vitaliy Mykolenko has been criticised this season for some of his Everton performances, as the Ukrainian has struggled with a lack of competition for his position.
One player who could come into Everton’s thinking this month is the Southampton full-back Kyle Walker-Peters who is out of contract at the end of the term.

Everton interested in Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters
With a lack of depth in the position, Everton are looking to add a new left-back to their squad to provide some competition for the spot in the starting XI.
The options at right-back may also need addressing, with two ageing players making up the two regular starters in that position.
According to TeamTalk, Everton are interested in landing the Southampton full-back as he looks set to leave the club.
Whether a move in January will materialise is another matter as the Saints are said to value the former Tottenham Hotspur defender at £7m.
It is claimed Everton view that figure too high for a player set to see his contract run out in the summer, and Walker-Peters is keen to remain in the Premier League.
Surprisingly, Everton are now in talks over a new contract for Mykolenko despite his questionable form this season.
But his performances have not instilled confidence in Everton fans for the remainder of the campaign.
Jordan Pickford has already approved of Kyle Walker-Peters
Everton’s goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has already played alongside Walker-Peters during their time together with the national side.
Pickford was in between the sticks when Walker-Peters made his debut for the Three Lions almost three years ago now.
“We have all had to come in at some stage to make our debut, and I thought the lads were smashing,” Pickford said on BBC Radio 5 Live about Walker-Peters’ debut.
Russell Martin praised Walker-Peters as a ‘beautiful footballer’ to BBC Sport, but he is a player the Saints look set to lose.
Considering Pickford recently slammed his defence during the loss against Bournemouth, he may well approve of the addition of Walker-Peters.
