Everton manager David Moyes accepts pundit role for World Cup

A number of Everton fans have called for Moyes to be replaced this summer following the poor run of form since the international break.

Everton have thrown away their opportunity at European qualification over the course of the last month.

On Thursday morning, TalkSPORT announced that Moyes would be joining them in their coverage of the World Cup in the United States.

Where will Everton be in the table by 6pm on Sunday afternoon? 🥲

Moyes will be joined by the likes of Kyle Walker and current Brighton & Hove Albion manager Fabian Hurzeler.

The Toffees could finish as low as 14th on Sunday, with their final game of the season coming up against Tottenham Hotspur.

Angus Kinnear has already backed Moyes ahead of the summer, but the club will need to showcase a more successful summer of spending this time around.

Seeing Moyes jet off to the United States for the World Cup may well suggest any early transfer business on Merseyside may be unlikely.

Last summer’s signings did not make a huge impact aside from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jack Grealish, which leaves the new recruitment team at Finch Farm with a lot to prove.

It remains to be seen how much of an impact on Everton’s plans Moyes working elsewhere will have.
