David Moyes’ tenure is coming under a lot of scrutiny following Everton’s dismal end to the season.
However, former midfielder Anders Limpar has claimed a move for Moyes to join Celtic would make no sense.
Everton supporters are not impressed with Moyes following the club’s run of seven games without a victory to end the campaign.

Many may well be hoping for a managerial change at Everton this summer, but a possible move to Celtic is being ruled out by Limpar.

Andoni Iraola is wanted by Everton supporters, but the club has made no indication that they will be moving on from Moyes.
Celtic do not have their permanent manager following Martin O’Neill’s interim return at Parkhead, but Limpar does not expect Moyes to make the move back to his home town.
“David Moyes is a clever man. I’ve met him once or twice. I like him. Why should he leave Everton? He’s taken them from the bottom to the mid-table, and in the next few years, maybe top five and the Champions League,” Limpar told Betano.

“In my opinion, he is too clever to leave to join Celtic. He’s been at Real Sociedad, Man United, West Ham. I think he feels he is the right manager for Everton because he is an adopted Scouser.
“He knows the system, he knows the people, he knows everything about the club. So first of all, it would be devastating for Everton if he leaves, and I think he’s too smart to leave now.”
Moyes has Everton’s support after a year-and-a-half of stability on Merseyside following his appointment last January.
However, more is going to be demanded over the coming months, with the 63-year-old making it clear from the start of the season that Everton were targeting European qualification.
A move to Celtic would certainly mark a major step down in terms of leaving the Premier League for the Scottish Premiership, but it would offer Champions League football.
Limpar urged Celtic star man Benjamin Nygren to join Everton this summer, with a move for Moyes in the opposite direction clearly viewed as a downward step.
