Everton need to get their transfer strategy sorted as they pursue a player who has already told them he doesn’t want to sign.
Angus Kinnear and David Moyes’ first summer transfer window certainly delivered mixed success last year.
Everton remain in need of several additions this time around, with a low hit rate following last summer’s window.
For the last time this season, let us know your prediction ahead of Sunday’s game…
Could Everton really send Spurs down? 😳
It is believed Everton are keen to sign Alexander Sorloth, but the striker has already informed the Blues he does not want to make the move.

Everton should not be chasing players who do not want to sign
You only have to look as far as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to see the importance of signing a player who has completely bought into the project on Merseyside.
Everton have eyed Sorloth for some time now, but the 30-year-old is not showing any interest in making the move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
In order to make this deal happen, Everton are either going to have to try extremely hard to convince him over a potential move, or improve their financial offer to him.
Where will Everton be in the table by 6pm on Sunday afternoon? 🥲
The Blues could finish as low as 14th… 😫
This does not immediately provide supporters with huge optimism ahead of the summer.
Sorloth has netted 13 goals in La Liga this season for Atletico Madrid, which is by no means anything to write home about.
At the age of 30, this is yet another example of Moyes’ insistence on adding players of experience, who he is more likely to trust.
However, the reality is, Sorloth has already been stung by the Premier League, with his time at Crystal Palace offering 16 appearances and zero goals.
Off the bat, this does not look like a player whom Everton should be wasting their efforts with in trying to convince Sorloth to join this summer.
The poor transfer record under Moyes, since his return, however, would not leave many surprised if that is exactly what Everton try to do.
