Everton have just seen another big update in their proposed takeover bid on Thursday afternoon.
The 2024/25 Premier League campaign is only a matter of hours away now for Sean Dyche‘s side and Everton remain in search of an answer over their long-term future.
It has now been well over a year since Farhad Moshiri entered talks with 777 Partners to end his ownership of the club.
Now on the verge of the new campaign starting, there is still no answer with The Friedkin Group having recently dropped out of the running.
But on Thursday afternoon, David Ornstein has shared a big update on the club’s future with John Textor receiving a big boost in his bid.

David Ornstein shares Everton takeover update involving John Textor
Last week, John Textor put forward a new bid for Everton having previously shown his interest back in June.
And now there has been a seriously exciting update to emerge just days before Everton open their new campaign at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.
According to Ornstein, Textor has now been given exclusivity to pursue a deal with the Blues.
The report claims Textor has already signed the documents with Moshiri to grant him this period of exclusivity.
However, there are issues remaining over the American’s involvement with Crystal Palace which will need to be resolved.
Textor owns a 45% stake in the Eagles which are required to be sold on if he is to take up ownership of Everton.
Everton will be hoping third time lucky
Everton fans have seen this all before and will be hoping it does not pan out the way in which the previous two have.
And there are still plenty of hurdles for Textor to overcome if he is to seal the deal at Goodison.
The main one being his involvement in Palace which may prove more difficult to resolve than hoped given he has such a big stake in the club.
But there are also concerns over the loans which Everton have taken on over the last year which are going to be needed to be paid off.
