Everton are now on the brink of opening up their 2024/25 Premier League campaign with their game at home against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Sean Dyche‘s side have enjoyed a solid summer so far with positive work going on both on and off the pitch.
Kevin Thelwell has operated well in the market to bring in four new signings which have all hit the ground running over pre-season.
There have been some exits sanctioned from Goodison Park this summer with the likes of Amadou Onana leaving in a big money deal with Aston Villa.
However, Everton have been able to keep ahold of their other top players so far with just over two weeks to go.
But one Sky Sports presenter is now suggesting Newcastle United should be plotting a move to sign one of the Blues’ best players before the end of the month.

Newcastle urged to go land Everton ‘superstar’
Although clubs are being urged to go and buy from the Blues, Everton are still on the lookout for some further recruits themselves.
Everton have now made a late enquiry about the midfielder Jens Cajuste after his deal to join Brentford fell through suddenly.
However, the Toffees may have to be wary of some late moves coming their way from interested clubs with Sky Sports‘ Pete Graves pointing Newcastle towards Merseyside ahead of the deadline.

Newcastle have been showing a strong interest in Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi over recent weeks, but Graves thinks Jarrad Branthwaite should also be on the Toon’s radar.
“And I just wonder whether you know, if Newcastle do think: ‘Well, we’ve got £60m there’. Just go Everton knock on their door, because, for me, he’s [Branthwaite] a top player,” said Graves.
“I really rate Guehi, by the way. I hope Newcastle sign him. I really do. And if that’s the one that Eddie Howe wants, then I hope they get him.
“I really like Branthwaite as well, you know. And if that money is there for a new centre-back, if that is the area that Eddie Howe wants to spend big on, then I’d go to Branthwaite next.
“I’d be knocking on the door of Everton and offering them a similar deal. Because I think the highest they got offered was £40m. We’re talking in that ballpark when there was interest from Manchester United early on in the window, give £60m Everton… they’re going to sell him.”
Everton do not need to sell Jarrad Branthwaite this summer
Alan Myers has already stated Everton are in a sound financial position for the short term following The Friedkin Group’s takeover collapse.
And there has even been some further hope added around the club in recent weeks.
Everton have now seen John Textor lodge a new bid for the club last week as he looks to take over from Farhad Moshiri on Merseyside.
With this in mind, Everton do not need to sell Branthwaite this summer considering they are out of the PSR woods for the summer.
However, if Newcastle were to offer in the region of what Everton were asking Manchester United for earlier in the window, it will be interesting to see what their stance is.
