Everton are in the market to make a splash this summer under the Friedkins.

David Moyes is going to be hoping to see numerous players come through the doors at Finch Farm over the coming months, with plenty of players set to leave.

It is an interesting situation Everton find themselves in this summer as a transfer reboot coincides with their move to Bramley-Moore Dock.

The Friedkins are keen to make a statement signing for Everton as they make the move into their state-of-the-art stadium.

Playing in such a venue, Everton are hoping to provide Moyes with a squad filled with the quality deserving of such a home.

With the weeks ticking down until the summer transfer window opens, David Ornstein has just shared an interesting insight on a potential swoop for Jack Grealish.

The chances of Everton signing Manchester City’s Jack Grealish

Earlier this week, Everton were mooted as a landing spot for Kevin De Bruyne as he looks for a new club ahead of the summer.

However, it is one of his Manchester City teammates who Ornstein has suggested Everton could potentially land.

Speaking on The Athletic’s Ask Ornstein Q&A, the reliable journalist touched upon the future of the £100m Englishman.

“This is not information, just me speculating… I’d be intrigued to see if a club like Newcastle could help bring him back to the level we know he possesses and they’re among the teams looking to strengthen in the wide attacking areas,” he said.

“Tottenham are, too, but I’m not sure a switch to London would be on the agenda.

“Everton are an interesting possibility in my mind, especially as they need players, are heading into an amazing new stadium and that would keep him close to home in the north west.”

Everton are keen to add new forwards to the club this summer, with Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom set to return to their parent clubs.

However, a move for Grealish would certainly be some statement from the American owners ahead of the stadium move.

Having made a record-breaking move to the Etihad Stadium, Grealish has certainly endured his struggles of late.

The 29-year-old was able to find the back of the net the other week for the first time in a seriously long time against Leicester City.

Moyes has wanted more from his wingers and Grealish – at his best – could provide that.

But there will be major question marks as to whether this is the type of player Everton are looking to spend significant money on this summer.
