Dominic Calvert-Lewin hasn’t had the best of seasons at the pinnacle of the attack, and he had a bit of a stinker in a recent video with Jordan Pickford as he failed to recognise a former Everton player.

Everton have struggled to find a reliable source of goals this season, with just five goalscorers in the Premier League and one of them is a central defender on two.

Dwight McNeil tops the scoring charts with three, whilst Dominic Calvert-Lewin sits on two.

Troy Deeney wasn’t too pleased with Calvert-Lewin’s attitude, as he supposedly spotted him walk straight down the tunnel without thanking the fans against Ipswich.

Whilst that’s not great from the striker, it was a really frustrating day for him as he squandered several chances, so you can understand it a bit.

The striker has just had an embarrassing moment in a video with Jordan Pickford, failing to recognise a former Everton player.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin fails to recognise David Ginola

To be fair to Calvert-Lewin, David Ginola only played seven games for Everton and he would have only been around six when he was at Goodison Park.

The Frenchman joined in the summer of 2002, playing one season at Everton before retiring in 2003.

Ginola is known for his time at Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain, where he scored a combined 65 goals and 36 assists in over 250 appearances.

However, Dominic Calvert-Lewin failed to recognise him in an Everton shirt.

When taking part in a video for Sky Sports Premier League’s YouTube channel with Jordan Pickford, the pair were asked who have been the three Everton players to feature on the front of the game FIFA.

The pair were shown a t-shirt with three players on, of which one was Wayne Rooney, one was Theo Walcott and Calvert-Lewin said this about the last player, Ginola.

“Theo Walcott, Wayne Rooney and whoever that guy is on that t-shirt there.”

He later apologised.

“That came across quite disrespectful actually I just can’t think of the name.”

Speaking of strikers, what’s going on with Beto?

Beto has had to settle for a backseat at Everton this season as Dyche continues to opt for Calvert-Lewin.

This has led to Juventus eyeing a move for Beto, who is supposedly seeking a move away from Goodison Park, however, the Italian club have pulled out due to Everton’s demands.

It’s been claimed that the Friedkin Group will allow Beto to leave on loan in January.

Youssef Chermiti has just returned to training and Armando Broja is getting closer to a return to first team action, so there is cover if Beto does leave.
