Everton are set for a busy few months with the Friedkin Group on the verge of taking over from Farhad Moshiri.

Everton are struggling in the Premier League and look set to be involved in a relegation battle, so clearly investment is needed in January.

Sean Dyche’s men have won just two of their opening 11 games and look bereft of quality in attack, netting just 10 goals.

Fans have urged Dyche to drop Dominic Calvert-Lewin whilst Beto hasn’t exactly set the world alight, either.

Beto has failed to make an impact on Merseyside since his £30m switch from Udinese last summer and now the Friedkin Group have made a decision on his future amid claims he wants to leave in the January transfer window.

Friedkin Group will allow Beto to leave on loan in January

According to Tuttosport, via CalcioMercato, Beto is attracting interest from a number of clubs in Serie A this winter.

The 27-year-old is pushing to join Torino whilst Juventus have also been credited with an interest in his signature.

Beto, who’s yet to start a league game this season, is unhappy with his playing time under Dyche and wants to leave Goodison Park in January.

The Friedkin Group will allow the forward to depart on a six-month loan deal so he can revalue himself before being sold on a permanent deal.

Sean Dyche admits Beto is getting closer to starting

It seems at the moment, Beto has his mind made up on leaving, but that could change if he’s given more opportunities before the new year.

Dyche admitted in a recent interview that Beto is closing the gap on Calvert-Lewin.

“The margins are getting higher, though, I mean he’s coming on, he’s affecting games. You know Dom has had chances and hasn’t scored, consistency a bit up and down, so it’s getting tighter.”

So, perhaps it’s not a foregone conclusion that Beto will depart in January, there is still time to salvage his Everton career.
