- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Everton are already monitoring transfer targets ahead of the January window.
Sean Dyche is clearly eager to add to his attacking ranks this winter after missing out on Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah at the end of August.
The Toffees were also in for Wilfried Gnonto and even had a £23m bid knocked back by Championship outfit Leeds United.
Now, it has just come to light that Everton have sent scouts to watch a promising winger in Brazil, though, they are facing stiff competition for his signature.

Everton and Chelsea scouting Henrique Carmo
TBR Football understands there is substantial interest from England in Sao Paulo teenager Henrique Carmo – but also across Europe.
PSG have been carrying out due diligence on him but they are not alone as Monaco, Marseille, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and AC Milan continue to keep tabs.
Everton are one of the Premier League clubs to have watched him but we can confirm Chelsea, Brentford, Brighton, Fulham and Newcastle have also scouted him this year.
Carmo is highly regarded having made his first-team debut last month but the expectation is that a deal could be agreed upon in January.
This backs up the rumours that Everton have held an interest in Carmo.
Henrique Carmo profile
Carmo is a right winger by trade and is regarded as one of Sao Paulo’s brightest young prospects having flourished in the academy.
The Brazil youth international is approaching his 18th birthday in November, so evidently if Everton were to sign him, they’d need to nurture and manage him accordingly.
Shakhtar Donetsk have already had an £8m bid rejected for Carmo.
