Everton are already plotting their January transfer business.

The Toffees brought in seven signings during the summer window but they still remain light in attacking areas.

It seems the club’s recruitment team recognises that as they’re already eyeing a talented winger from Brazil.

Everton interested in Henrique Carmo

According to UOL, Everton have expressed an interest in Sao Paulo wonderkid Henrique Carmo.

The 17-year-old, who plies his trade as a right-winger, made his senior debut last month and is widely regarded as one of their best prospects.

In fact, European giants Paris Saint-Germain are even considering an approach, so Everton are certainly facing stiff competition.

Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Qadsiah and an unnamed Portuguese side are also keeping tabs on Henrique, who has been capped at youth level by Brazil.

Henrique Carmo pricetag in excess of £8m

Shakhtar Donetsk have already had a bid worth £8m rejected for Henrique, so evidently, if Everton were to land his signature, they’d need to pay in excess of that.

Whether they’d be willing to outlay that kind of sum for an unproven talent remains to be seen but either way, they’ll have to put forward a convincing pitch to fend off PSG.
