Deadline day is fast approaching and Everton are still in the process of landing their first signing.
Everton are having to operate on a limited budget due to PSR concerns but the Friedkin Group are trying to secure further investment to boost David Moyes’ transfer kitty.
The Toffees appear to be eyeing cheap European players, with Sparta Prague’s Angelo Preciado linked to Goodison Park in a £5m deal.
Moyes’ side have also looked at Galatasaray winger Yunus Akgun, however, the Turkish giants have already rejected their loan bid.
Now, a new rumour has just come to light, as Everton have been named as a possible destination for a young right-back on the continent.

Everton linked to Elias Jelert
According to the Daily Mail, Everton have been mooted as a potential destination for Galatasaray defender Elias Jelert.
Premier League rivals West Ham United and Ipswich Town are also being touted as suitors for the 21-year-old right-back.
Jelert completed a £7.5m move to the Super Lig giants last summer after impressing in the Champions League with Copenhagen.
The two-cap Denmark international has struggled to replicate the form he showed in his native league but is still an integral figure, making 26 appearances.
With Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman out of contract in the summer, Everton are clearly on the hunt for a long-term successor.
Jelert labelled the ‘perfect package’
Talent expert Jacek Kulig has described Jelert as the ‘perfect package’ for the modern game.
“He is playing as a full-back for now, but I have no doubts he would be an incredible wing-back too,” Kulig explained.
“His offensive and defensive qualities mixed with his stamina and workrate is the perfect package for the modern game.”
Everton have been crying out for an attacking right-back for years and evidently, Jelert has the qualities to play that role for Moyes’ side.
