There’s a renewed air of positivity at Everton.
Since David Moyes’ return to Goodison Park, the Toffees have picked up six points from a possible nine and now reside well clear of the relegation zone.

Everton are now seven points clear of 18th-placed Wolves and have a big six-pointer against Leicester City on the horizon.
Before that clash, Moyes will be hopeful of landing a couple of signings in the transfer market as he’s under no illusion his squad still needs help.
Everton have been eyeing Rangers’ striker Hamza Igamane and even watched him in action on the weekend whilst there’s been talk of Chelsea duo Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka.
Now, the latest update on their pursuit of Brighton’s Evan Ferguson has just come to light.

West Ham move ahead of Everton in race to sign Evan Ferguson
Everton have been eyeing Evan Ferguson for most of the winter window following the revelation that Brighton would be willing to send him out on loan.
It’s thought their interest may be even more concrete following injuries to Armando Broja and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
However, according to TEAMtalk, West Ham have moved ahead of Everton in the race to sign Ferguson this month.
The West Ham board are keen to back newly appointed manager Graham Potter and a striker is top of their wishlist following Niclas Füllkrug’s injury.
So at this stage, it appears Everton have a lot of work to do in order to land the Republic of Ireland international, who’s been labelled ‘one of the best young strikers’ (per Football London) on the planet.
Everton would have to free up loan spot to sign Ferguson
Everton currently have two domestic loans in the shape of Broja and Jack Harrison, so one would have to return to their parent club to make room for Ferguson.
Everton have been discussing ending Broja’s loan but now it’s come to light that he will stay at the club to continue his recovery.
So unless Harrison returns to Leeds, the deal for Ferguson is completely off the table, unless of course they bring him on a permanent deal – which is highly unlikely.
