The Friedkin Group have got a lot right since they were handed the keys to Goodison Park in December.

Everton have been able to pull themselves clear of the relegation danger with a five-game unbeaten run in the Premier League.

David Moyes’ return to Merseyside has brought back a real feel-good factor to the club with an instant response from the players to his appointment.

Big changes are heading Everton’s way, with their move date to the new stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock closing in.

Everton held their first test event at the new stadium earlier this week with an U18 game against Wigan Athletic.

But this does mark the end of Goodison Park which will no longer be the home of Everton by the summer.

Everton could gift fans by handing out Goodison Park seats

Goodison will soon be demolished for the next set of plans to take place on the historic ground.

And that leaves the question as to what is going to happen with the contents of the stadium, which will mark as some real collector’s items to the club.

For many fans, there will be a determination to take their seat from Goodison Park where they may have held a season ticket for years.

However, the club may well view that as an opportunity to create some extra revenue.

But the Friedkins need to learn from the mistakes of other clubs in the past and provide the fans with their seats from the final game at Goodison as a gift.

Everton have suffered through PSR worries and fans have had to endure numerous relegation scares over recent years.

Being allocated their seats from their final visit to the club’s historic home would be a huge boost for all concerned.

Everton must learn from Tottenham’s mistakes

Following the final game at White Hart Lane, Tottenham offered their season ticket holders the opportunity to buy their seat.

Considering the money which is put in by football fans in this day and age, this feels like an incredibly unnecessary move from Daniel Levy.

Although it would lead to sales, it could also lead to frustrations being aimed towards The Friedkin Group following a strong start to their time at the club.

Everton is a club that prides itself on community and the fans that support the club, a big question will be asked if they view this as an opportunity cash in on their fans.

After a promising start on Merseyside, the Friedkins have an opportunity to show they are better than the likes of Levy and owners of other clubs across the Premier League.
