The Everton starting XI has just been announced ahead of today’s big game with Crystal Palace.
Just three games remain this season for Everton and realistically, there can be no more slip-ups if David Moyes is to deliver European football.
The 3-3 draw with Manchester City on Monday was damaging, but there is still an outside chance of qualifying for the Conference League.
Let us know your prediction for Sunday’s trip to Crystal Palace… 😬
Everton have not lost to Palace since 2022, but three points are now essential! 💪
Everton have a great record against today’s opponents Crystal Palace, as does Moyes personally.
The Eagles were in Conference League action on Thursday and could be feeling the effects of fatigue, so Everton need to try and capitalise.
And the team news is now in.
Everton’s confirmed starting XI to face Crystal Palace

Moyes has actually picked an unchanged XI to face Palace.
Jordan Pickford starts in goal as usual for Everton.
The back four is also unchanged for the third game running with James Tarkowski and Michael Keane pairing up in the middle, with Jake O’Brien and Vitalii Mykolenko as the full-backs.
In midfield, Moyes starts James Garner, and keeps Tim Iroegbunam next to him.
An unchanged XI from David Moyes, how confident are you after seeing this? 🤩
Merlin Rohl, who came in for a lot of praise for his display against Manchester City, also keeps his place and looks to be playing on the right side again. Idrissa Gana Gueye remains out.
Iliman Ndiaye, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Beto make up the rest of the team.
Thierno Barry, of course, hit a brace against Manchester City. But Moyes is sticking with Beto here.
Must-win for Everton
Everton have a big uphill task to get European football now, so anything less than a win today won’t be good enough.
Bournemouth and Brighton have pulled away in sixth and seventh, meaning Everton’s focus is now on catching Brentford in eighth.

Eighth place will present a spot for a team to get into the Conference League if Aston Villa win the Europa League, so Everton still have something to play for.
Hopefully Palace are still feeling the effects of their Thursday night exertions and celebrations and Everton can give themselves a chance today.
