The summer transfer window may have shut, but Everton have still been looking at potential free agent signings.
Considerable work was done over the summer to bring in some quality additions to transform this Everton squad.
David Moyes has worked his magic on Merseyside since he succeeded Sean Dyche back in January.
Despite the solid work done in the window, Everton were unable to address every transfer need in what was a huge summer for the club.
Injuries have already hit the Toffees in the early stages of the 2025/26 campaign, with the defence taking a real beating.
With Vitaliy Mykolenko suffering an injury issue, Everton have already searched the free agent market for a potential left-back addition.

Everton have considered free agent Sergio Reguilon
Earlier in the summer, Everton signed Adam Aznou to provide Mykolenko with support and competition at left-back.
Already, the former Bayern Munich defender has also picked up an issue which has kept him out of the squad recently.
According to the Daily Mail, Everton have looked at free agent left-back Sergio Reguilon following his Tottenham Hotspur exit.
The Toffees are not the only club to consider the Spaniard, with West Ham United and Nottingham Forest also taking a look at Reguilon.
Amid injury issues, it is said Everton have considered Reguilon, but the 28-year-old is currently weighing up options from abroad.
Back in 2021, Jose Mourinho hailed Reguilon as ‘very technical’ during his time as the Tottenham manager.
Everton also eyed a number of right-back additions earlier in the summer, with Nathan Patterson’s future coming under scrutiny.

The Toffees have been able to keep two clean sheets in their opening four games, but adding to the defence is seemingly on Angus Kinnear’s radar.
Everton want to hand Vitaliy Mykolenko new contract
The Ukraine international has played a huge role in Everton’s defence over recent years, with very little support behind him.
Mykolenko has been the sole senior left-back on Merseyside for a long time now, with James Garner now being forced to fill in for the 26-year-old.
Everton want to hand Mykolenko a new contract, given his current deal is set to expire at the end of the campaign.
What will frustrate some fans is that Aznou has not been available to slot into the left-back spot in Mykolenko’s absence.
It is clear, though, that Garner’s performances have eliminated immediate worries about the depth at left-back.
