Everton fans are hoping to see some incoming activity soon, and it looks like things could well be about to pick up.

After signing Carlos Alcaraz permanently, Everton are not set to land Kenny Tete, after reaching an agreement with the player in recent days.

Despite a contract extension offer from Fulham, Tete is set to move on and it looks as though Everton will soon announce the Dutchman.

Right-back is one of four positions Everton are really prioritising at the moment; the others being a right winger, a central midfielder and a striker.

Back in May, it was claimed that Everton held an interest in Omari Hutchinson.

And this evening there has been a development to suggest that we could now be hearing a bit more about the Englishman.

It has been reported this evening by the Daily Mail that Everton are weighing up a move for Omari Hutchinson.

Hutchinson only signed for Ipswich Town permanently last summer from Chelsea, after spending the 2023/24 season on loan with the Tractor Boys.

Reportedly, they paid around £22 million for the 21-year-old.

But now he could be set for an early exit following their relegation to the Championship. But Everton potentially won’t have it easy, with the following clubs interested too:

It is suggested that Hutchinson – who is currently with the England U21s at the European Championships – has a valuation of around £30 million, which was the same figure Everton were prepared to pay Ipswich to sign Liam Delap.

‘Fantastic’ Hutchinson could be exciting addition for Everton

As everyone saw, Ipswich struggled in the Premier League in 2024/25.

But there were some shining lights in their team, with Liam Delap regularly grabbing headlines and Hutchinson also putting in some positive showings.

He scored three goals and made two assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.

But in 2023/24 during his loan spell, he scored 11 and made six assists in 50 appearances.

Hutchinson is still young, but is a player Kieran McKenna certainly believes in. He said when Ipswich signed him permanently last summer (via BBC Sport): “We think Omari is a fantastic player and person to have at the club for the long-term future. He has a hunger to improve and show that he can compete and thrive in the Premier League.”

It’ll be interesting to see if David Moyes decides to get involved – given the level of competition, he could have a real battle on his hands.
