David Moyes has completed his return to Everton and is set for a busy month ahead as the January transfer window approaches the midway stage.
Moyes has been assembling his coaching staff over the last 24 hours and that process is set to continue over the coming week.
The former West Ham United manager is expected to reunite with Billy McKinlay and there has been talk of Lee Carsley joining the staff, but those rumours have now gone quiet.
The club will also continue to monitor transfer targets and in particular players at the top end of the pitch considering the current goalscoring woes.
Only relegation certs Southampton have scored fewer goals than Everton’s 15, so it’s clear a centre-forward should be the top target.
With that said, Everton could now sign one of Moyes’ long-standing striking targets who he wanted to bring in at West Ham.

Everton could sign Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto
Moyes tried to sign Corinthians frontman Yuri Alberto during his time at West Ham but ultimately failed to agree a deal with the Brazillian outfit.
However, now at Everton, the 61-year-old could finally get the chance to land Alberto’s signature as Everton continue to search for a Dominic Calvert-Lewin successor.
Nottingham Forest News have reported that Corinthians aren’t prepared to break the bank to keep Alberto this winter and have even offered his services to the East Midlanders.
So it’s quite evident that the Brazil striker is now much more attainable than in previous years, so Moyes could push Everton to test the waters with a bid.
Alberto admits he’s open to leaving Corinthians
Alberto himself has recently admitted that he’d be open to leaving Corinthians if the right offer came along.
“I’m very happy here but, if an offer comes along that’s positive for me and Corinthians and we can reach an agreement for the sale to happen, great,” he told Placar TV.
“If not, I’m happy too. I have a dream and I believe that the longer I stay here, the more mature I’ll be to be able to live in the best way possible.”
It certainly seems like a doable deal for Everton and Moyes would almost certainly greenlight the deal, however, the only stumbling block could be his £25m price tag.
