Everton will be headed to Burnley on Saturday as they look to get some points back on the board after two straight defeats.
David Moyes’ options have been made extremely tight over recent weeks, with injuries seriously hindering the 62-year-old’s ability to rotate.
The defeats to Chelsea and Arsenal did highlight Everton’s need to add in the January transfer window next month.
Issues up top are still there for all to see as Thierno Barry has failed to add to his tally of one Premier League goal on Merseyside.
Angus Kinnear has issued an Everton transfer message ahead of the window opening, but it was one that may not excite the fans.
With the window now just days away from opening, two priorities have become clear after what Moyes has seen on display in the first half of the season.

David Moyes set to seek double January transfer at Everton
Everton have noticed a more confident Barry in and around Finch Farm training ground since he opened up his account earlier in the month.
But he has failed to show any consistency in an Everton shirt since then as he now searches for his second goal of the term.
According to BBC Sport, Moyes has made a new striker an absolute priority for Everton heading into January.
What position do Everton need to strengthen in most, right-back or striker?
But that is not the only area he wants to improve, with right-back also being made a clear position to add in the coming weeks.
Having lost out on Kenny Tete in the summer, the Blues were unable to find the right player to add to their squad and ended up kicking the can down the road.
Everton are also considering recalling Harrison Armstrong from his season-long loan deal at Preston North End.
But the Toffees are now focused on adding a new striker and right-back to bring some serious improvements on Merseyside.

Nathan Patterson must now leave Everton in January
During the summer, Everton’s agreement to offload Nathan Patterson fell through after Sevilla were unable to move on one of their own players.
Since, the Scotland international has remained an outcast at Finch Farm, with Moyes not showing any faith in his fellow countryman.
Could Nathan Patterson have offered Everton more from right-back than Jake O’Brien? 🤔
The January transfer window will surely mark the end of his time at the club if the Blues are able to bring in a new right-back.
Moyes has continuously snubbed Patterson this season and played O’Brien at right-back despite being a natural centre-back.
These are surely Patterson’s final days as an Everton player.
