Everton are going to be left with an interesting decision to make in the not so distant future over David Moyes.
Since returning to Merseyside, Moyes has helped lead The Friedkin Group’s project to take the Toffees back into the top half of the table.
Leon Osman hailed the appointment of Moyes at Everton as the 62-year-old has helped to bring stability back to the club.
That is something that has not been on display at Everton for a number of years following some real struggles under Farhad Moshiri’s tenure.
However, the Scot has made no secret that he does not intend to spend many more years in management.
With his contract now having around 18 months left to run, there are a number of fans who are considering who could potentially replace him.

Everton fans name Premier League manager to replace David Moyes
Earlier in the season, some Everton fans have named Edin Terzic as a potential Moyes replacement for the future.
Leading the Toffees into Christmas in the top half of the table has put Moyes in a good position regarding his future.
But there are now some Everton fans who have suggested they would like to see Crystal Palace’s Oliver Glasner named as their next manager.
Who would you like to see eventually replace David Moyes at Everton?
‘Would love Glasner as the next Everton manager,’ said one fan on social media. The Austrian is someone who has a lot of fans across the Premier League, with another fan saying: ‘I’ve wanted him for a while’.
This comes after Fabrizio Romano shared an update suggesting the Crystal Palace manager will not be signing a new deal at Selhurst Park.
After hearing the news, one Everton fan said: ‘Everton should be all over this…….. offer him good transfer kitty and good project to build on after this season.’ Whilst another Everton fan added: ‘Get him and offer him 100m transfer budget so we can have fun’.
There were, however, some fans who admitted they’d love to see Moyes allowed to continue the good work he has started at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
One fan said: ‘More than happy with Moyes, Everton need stability.’ With another also hoping to see some stability, they said: ‘No !!!! No more manager hopping.’
Moyes deserves to decide on his own Everton future
Having done what he has done since returning to Merseyside, Moyes deserves to be able to choose what is next for him.
Everton still have over a year on his contract and the 62-year-old has done more than enough to show the Friedkins that he is the right man to take the club forward.
How far is Moyes capable of taking Everton this season? 🤩
Moyes wants Everton to push for the European spots this season, but the 2026/27 term may offer a better opportunity after another summer transfer window.
The January window is going to be an interesting one for Everton given it is a usually a difficult one for club’s to navigate.
It is no secret that Everton need more quality adding to their squad and Moyes may be the best man for the job given the stability that the 62-year-old has brought back to the club.
