Everton head into the Merseyside derby full of positivity after an emphatic win, though one player didn’t play so well and fans are letting him hear about it.

Sean Dyche got it tactically right against Wolves, as Everton pushed high up the field to press and caused all sorts of problems for Craig Dawson.

It was the defensive side of things too where Ashley Young really shone for the Toffees, making an incredible seven tackles up against Matheus Cunha.

And he even broke a Premier League record for being the oldest goalscorer ever, which won’t necessarily be seen as a good thing by Young.

However, it wasn’t all smiles for Everton as one player had a bit of a stinker performance, which didn’t escape the watchful eyes of the supporters.

Jack Harrison’s performance in numbers against Wolves

Jack Harrison has had to feed off scraps for Everton in recent weeks, and his performance against Wolves justified why he’s been given so little minutes.

It’s been claimed that Everton aren’t looking to send Harrison back in January, so he must have some kind of part to play at Goodison Park moving forward.

However, he’ll need to certainly work on his finishing if he wants to be hitting the back of the net any time soon, as he squandered a number of golden opportunities in the dying embers.

He came on for Dwight McNeil in the 74th minute. The winger managed 12 touches, a passing accuracy percentage of 50, two shots off target, one big chance missed, failed to complete any of his dribbles, lost possession six times and lost three duels (SofaScore).

Everton fans react to Jack Harrison’s performance vs Wolves

Many Everton fans took to social media after the game to share their disappointment in Harrison.

@SeanParamedic was concerned: “Jack Harrison looks absolutely terrified of the football. That’s the only way I can describe him.”

@streetend1878 mentioned: “Jack Harrison, choose another career.”

@BassedLow commented: “We pay Jack Harrison £90,000 a week Matthew, don’t think a Broja start on Saturday is anywhere near a qualified stupid decision given our season.”
