Everton had their second game of pre-season on Saturday afternoon.
David Moyes’ side thumped Dundee FC 4-0 last weekend, but they struggled to get going against Bolton Wanderers yesterday.

Everton were held to a goalless draw at the Toughsheet Community Stadium, so there was naturally a little bit of criticism among supporters.
Although, there was one standout player who most thought was the Man of the Match.
Everton fans really impressed with Harrison Armstrong vs Bolton

The majority said Harrison Armstrong, who also won the Man of the Match award in our player ratings.

- “Armstrong could be the breakthrough player this season if Moyes gives him a chance, alongside Hackney. May need to sacrifice Garner to RB if the club stubbornly refuse to buy anyone. Branthwaite/O’Brien CB’s.”

There was also some praise for Thierno Barry’s performance.

With James Garner recently undergoing surgery, it seems Armstrong may get his chance to start the new Premier League season.
There has been speculation that the England youth international is exploring a loan overseas, but that’s gone quiet in recent weeks.
David Moyes didn’t place much trust in Armstrong last term, so the teenager will have to put together a string of top performances in pre-season to stake a genuine claim.
