Everton have submitted a bid for Southampton winger Tyler Dibling, and here is what fans have to say about the potential transfer.
Everton have had a £27m bid rejected for Tyler Dibling, who is keen on making the switch to Merseyside this summer.
There is a feeling Southampton would entertain offers of around £40m for the talented teenager, so Everton are expected to return with an improved bid.
Dibling has been compared to Paul Gascoigne, as the fleet-footed winger excels at driving past players and creating chances.
Supporters have been reacting to the transfer rumour on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Everton fans react to Tyler Dibling bid
Everton fans are actually pretty unconvinced by the potential Dibling signing, especially considering how much money it would cost to strike a deal with Saints.
“Smacks a bit of desperation to me, which it probably is. Proven talent turning us down. Prob got no choice as we need numbers,” @MarkMt1878 admitted.
@Everton__1234 said: “He’s another one of these players we’re paying for the potential instead of the current ability.”
“I think his market value just went through the roof based on 1 game don’t remember which game it was, highly unfinished article,” @Evertoningen commented.
@delzer commented: “The games I have seen, you see the odd flash but never came away saying he’s someone I’d love to get.”
“I’d personally go for McAtee from Citeh. He’s a better all round player. And more established,” @Toffee84Tim explained.
@MichaelHilditc5 noted: “Not looked anything special when I’ve seen him. Seems a good dribbler but I would rather we add pace than agility to this team. It’s just devoid of any pace at all.”
@damondash999 said: “He only got 2 goals last year, I would rather go for Omari Hutchinson and James Mcatee, Oscar Bobb from Man City, if we are going 2 splash the cash then get McAtee, Hutchinson and Oscar Bobb or get Doak from Liverpool.”
Russell Martin says Dibling will play for England
Former Southampton manager Russell Martin told Gary Lineker’s Rest Is Football podcast that Dibling is the ‘most talented player’ he’s ever seen.
“He’s the most talented player I’ve ever seen – ever worked with, Martin said back in April. “I worked with James Maddison at that age at Norwich, he was outstanding.
“Tyler has every capability to go and play for England and at a top level for a very long time.
“He’s powerful, he’s really quick, both feet, can shoot. I worked with Harry Kane and physically the stuff I’ve seen him do at 18 in the Premier League with people just bouncing off him – he has something I’ve not seen in a British player in a long time.
“He’ll play as a No.8 or a No.10 eventually, but he’s 18 so we played him out wide and he was incredible.
“He can play wide, we played him as a false nine in pre-season and he was our best player.”
Quite clearly, if Martin’s prediction comes true and he does play for England, Everton certainly won’t regret stumping up £40m for his signature.
