Everton have been making checks on a number of players ahead of the January transfer window.

Everton News columnist Alan Myers reckons the Toffees need four new signings, so it could be a really busy month.

David Moyes is keen to sign a centre-forward, with Joshua Zirkzee, Troy Parrott and Richarlison all linked recently.

If you were David Moyes, which three players would you want to sign in January?

Moyes is also exploring a deal to re-sign Antonee Robinson, with the Fulham left-back available for around £25m.

With that said, Everton fans have been debating whether Robinson would be a good signing this winter.

Everton fans would love to re-sign Antonee Robinson

Everton supporters have taken to Facebook to react to the links to Antonee Robinson, and they’re all in complete agreement.

“Never should have let him go in the first place, and many of you lot called me a fool. Jedi is one of the best left-backs in the world, and should have been supported as the successor to Baines. We have struggled to develop and retain young talent for years and it has resulted in financial hardship,” Neil Martin Caswell commented.

Steve Conyngham said: “Should never have let him go in the first place. More terrible judgement from those with responsibility for squad building. Imagine how much his style would fit with Grealish in comparison to Mykelenko, who offers virtually no attacking assistance at all.”

He’d be an upgrade on Mykolenko…

“Perfect signing for us , would also have a look at Ben Chilwell. Also need to find that elusive right back who we’ve needed for about the last 5 years and a striker who can manage a shot on target,” Craig Mills added.

“He would be a very good signing, get a right back and striker as well,” Glan James noted.

Darren Dazzie Metcalf simply said: “Take him back in a heartbeat.”

“Yes go and bring him back,” David Power posted.

Antonee Robinson signing would block Adam Aznou development

Whilst Robinson would be a super signing, there is one downside to the potential transfer.

His arrival would essentially block Adam Aznou from getting regular game time and growing into the left-back role in 2026 and onwards.

Everton need midfielders, but would you want to see Yves Bissouma signed? 😬

Everton are considering loaning Aznou in January and it’s understood the Morocco international is keen to leave for more minutes.

Perhaps the wiser strategy would be to stick with Vitali Mykolenko for the remainder of the season and bring in Aznou as the first-choice left-back next season, depending on if his loan is successful.

The priority for January has to be a striker, a midfielder and a right-back. Those areas are far more important to address at this stage.
