Everton fans are all saying the same thing about Iliman Ndiaye after 2-2 vs Ipswich Town

Everton raced into a two-goal lead against Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.

It looked as though David Moyes’ men were headed for a comfortable victory in the penultimate game at Goodison Park.

However, the already-relegated visitors overturned the deficit to snatch a point on Merseyside, much to the frustration of supporters.

Everton target Liam Delap impressed, with some likening him to former striker Tim Cahill. Moyes wants to build his side around the Ipswich Town frontman next season, though, there’s serious competition for his signature.

The Tractor boys managed to keep Iliman Ndiaye quiet and Everton fans had a lot to say about the Senegal international after the game.

Everton fans disappointed with Iliman Ndiaye’s performances recently

Iliman Ndiaye has enjoyed a sensational debut season on Merseyside, netting nine goals in 34 appearances.

However, since returning from his injury last month, the 25-year-old has been largely ineffective and Everton fans are beginning to grow frustrated.

“Ndiaye did a lot of nothing again today,” @JamesBrownEFC said.

@naven_gary added: “Agree. He’s not as good as i thought he was. He’s very good at turning defenders and running at them but he’s not a creator he’s not a no 10. Dyche and Moyes were right to play him left.”

“Never creates a thing. Some nice skills at times but meh. As usual some of the fans over hype average players. Maybe be better in a better side next year? Who knows but he has to do a hell of a lot more for me or he will be replaced,” @MrEverton1878 commented.

@CalDC1878 said: “He hasn’t been good since returning from the injury, but before that he was playing well. In those first few moyes games when we were winning he was the main man. He’s not suited to playing against teams who sit in though like today, i feel like he’s better on the counter.”

“Was poor today. Needs to learn to release the ball more often. Too greedy for his own good sometimes,” @aide_dews posted.

“What’s happened to Ndiaye he’s been shocking since he come back into the team,” @EvertonAllSorts said.

Ndiaye’s poor stats

Ndiaye’s statistics yesterday really amplified how poor he was.

The former Sheffield United playmaker created a staggeringly low 0.03 expected goals and assists, whilst losing possession a whopping 12 times.

Ndiaye operated in the number 10 role but it seems his best position after all is out on the left flank, so perhaps he’ll move back there against Fulham next weekend.

The Toffees have three games remaining and will want to end the season on a high after a run of poor results.
