Everton held Chelsea to a goalless draw at Goodison Park.

The hosts picked up yet another clean sheet, making it five from their six games, which has seen an upturn in results.

Everton are now starting to build into the form they showed last season under Sean Dyche and sit four points above the drop zone.

Though, they’re struggling to create and score goals. Only Southampton have scored fewer than their 14, which must improve.

January reinforcement are clearly needed up front and Everton fans will be hopeful that sees Jack Harrison dropped, as they react to his poor showing against Chelsea this afternoon.

Everton fans slam Jack Harrison

Everton fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to highlight just how poor Jack Harrison was, as he missed a guilt chance.

“Soon as Jack Harrison received that ball you knew he was missing. Feel sorry for Leeds when he returns there,” @pbathurst said.

@PaulMcGee added: “Jack Harrison just isn’t good enough for the Premier League unfortunately He should not be missing from that distance He has zero confidence in front of goal.”

“Starting Jack Harrison just because he works hard. Absolutely no quality at all,” @PapaSmurf1878 posted.

@nismoneil said: “Just knew Harrison would miss that.”

“Jack Harrison should never put our shirt on again,” shaun___2001 commented.

@FollowEverton said: “Doucoure misses ball and Harrison 3 yards out 1 v 1 with keeper. Poor finish on left foot. Shocking.”

Everton should not sign Harrison permanently

During Harrison two loans spells at Goodison Park, it’s become evident that Everton should not make his move a permanent one.

Everton fans have been highly critical of Harrison’s performances and they really don’t seem to be improving.

The Leeds United loanee just isn’t at the level required to push The Toffees up and well clear of the relegation zone.

Harrison has failed to register a goal or an assist in 14 Premier League outings, so the Friedkin Group must look to replace him this January transfer window.

Everton have been looking at Santiago Castro, who’s enjoying a productive season at Bologna.

Perhaps they should even consider sending him Harrison back to Leeds this winter to free up his wages.
