Everton are actively looking at several options in the January transfer market.

At the moment, the focus is very much on a wide player, as Everton could replace the injured Jack Grealish.

A striker, midfielder and full-back are also positions David Moyes is keen on strengthening in, as he looks to bolster his ranks heading into the second half of the season.

Who would be your dream Everton signing this month? 👀

With that said, Everton have been pretty underwhelmed after hearing who Moyes is considering signing in midfield.

Everton fans don’t want to sign N’Golo Kante

Everton are reportedly in talks to sign N’Golo Kante from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad this winter transfer window.

It’s understood that the Toffees are willing to meet Al-Ittihad’s pricetag, although there’s been no word on how much that’d be.

N’Golo Kante to Everton, YES or NO? 😮

France midfielder N'Golo Kante.

Toffees fans have been reacting to the rumour on TalkingPoints and they’re very much against the potential signing due to his age.

“No At 34 I think he is too old.”

“No.”

“Not for me. Undoubtedly a great but don’t think it’d be wise, plus we have Gueye.”

“Great player but is he really the answer after so long outside of the top level?!”

“I think he is absolute class but too much like our Idrissa, who is still smashin’ it at Premier League level, so I can’t see the benefit of bringing him to Everton.”

“I’d love him but do we really need both he and Idrissa Gueye? I’d rather get a youngster.”

N’Golo Kante’s wages would surely be a problem

According to Capology, Kante reportedly earns around £479,000-a-week in Saudi, so clearly Everton won’t be able to get anywhere close to that figure.

Their current highest earner is Manchester City loanee Jack Grealish, who reportedly takes home around £281,000-a-week.

Jordan Pickford follows in second, earning approximately £150,000-a-week, so the Kante transfer just seems too far-fetched.

Kante turns 35 in March and has had a patchy injury record, so the Toffees should stay clear and focus on signing a winger.
