With the international break around the corner, for once, Evertonians will be frustrated they can’t watch David Moyes’ side play.
In previous breaks, Sean Dyche’s football gave Everton fans time away from the agony of watching their team play, but that’s all changed under Moyes.
The Toffees face West Ham on Saturday, and Chris Sutton backs an Everton win as bragging rights will need to be claimed after Graham Potter rejected Everton in January.
Once the game is finished, it will be back to supporting England for Everton fans, and they will surely be excited to see Jordan Pickford in action.
However, an announcement involving Newcastle United has aggravated the fanbase.

Everton fans on Dan Burn being picked over Jarrad Branthwaite for England
It’s a momentous occasion for England this time around, as Thomas Tuchel has selected his first squad.
However, the German’s first selections haven’t gone down too well with Everton fans, despite Pickford still keeping his status.
The reason this hasn’t been well-received is the absence of Jarrad Branthwaite from England, who has been excellent for Everton recently.
But Dan Burn’s call-up has certainly hit a nerve in the Toffees fanbase, as the Everton faithful have been left baffled at Tuchel’s decision to pick the Newcastle defender over Branthwaite.
Evertonians have flocked to social media, and all say the same thing about Burn’s selection over the 22-year-old.
@LeeFMc83 said: “Dan Burn… over Jarrad Branthwaite is absolutely absurd, it seriously defies any logic. Hilarious decision. Branthwaite is England’s best centre half by a distance.”
@ASeymour1878 was in shock, saying: “Imagine picking Burn over Branthwaite, games gone.”
@paulefc97 saw a silver lining but was still appalled by the decision: “Delighted he will get a rest from an Everton POV (but) this decision is baffling.”
@JosephMcclarnon was in disbelief, saying: “Dan Burn over Branthwaite at centre back!? Cannot wrap my head around that one.”

How Burn compares to Branthwaite as Everton defender will be fuming
It is a strange decision from the new Three Lions manager, as Everton’s social media defended Branthwaite, who won’t know what he has to do for an England place.
The defender is a gem at Goodison Park, as after signing him for just £1 million, Branthwaite is now valued at £70m for Everton.
This adds to more confusion as to why Tuchel opted against calling up the Toffees stalwart, as when comparing Branthwaite to Burn in the Premier League this season, it should’ve been a no-brainer from the former Chelsea boss.
| Jarrad Branthwaite | Dan Burn | |
| Appearances | 21 | 27 |
| Assists | 1 | 0 |
| Goals conceded | 19 | 36 |
| Interceptions | 23 | 17 |
| Duels won % | 63.6% | 59.9% |
It’s somewhat of a positive for Moyes, who doesn’t have to worry about an injury to the defender occurring, but no doubt Branthwaite will be devastated.
Whatever happens for his England future, it’s clear Tuchel would be a fool not to include Branthwaite further down the line.
