Everton will have to do well to keep Jarrad Branthwaite as the Toffees defender doesn’t show any signs of slowing down soon.

Branthwaite has been a sought-after player for the best part of two years, as the Everton defender continues to impress at Goodison Park.

The 22-year-old showed his brilliance in the Merseyside Derby almost a week ago, as Branthwaite was ‘excellent’ against Liverpool.

His performance has only got Evertonians after one thing, Branthwaite staying at the club.

Although difficult, David Moyes wants Branthwaite to sign an Everton contract as the Friedkin Group have now outlined a plan for the centre-back.

Everton set asking price for Jarrad Branthwaite after contract talks

The defender has been a mainstay in both Sean Dyche’s side and now Moyes’, as Branthwaite has been a vital part in Everton’s upturn in form.

Adding onto this, the defender has shown captain material, after Branthwiate’s rallying cry ahead of Liverpool seemingly did the trick.

It certainly would be good to keep a player of Branthwaite’s ability and character around the club as TEAMtalk believes the Friedkins have come up with a plan.

According to the report, it suggests the Toffees are no longer under pressure to sell any of their best players due to PSR reasons.

The takeover from the Friedkins means Everton will not be forced to cash in on Branthwaite, as it’s been stated anything less than £70 million in the summer transfer window will not be accepted.

Who will be interested in Everton star Branthwaite this summer

His performances have clearly captured the attention of some of the biggest clubs in the world.

If Branthwaite does leave, Everton will look into signing Burnley’s Maxime Esteve, and although this looks unlikely to happen, two giants have shown an interest in the past.

Man United have always been the main admirers of the Everton defender, but Ruben Amorim doesn’t want Branthwaite.

You’d think this is good news for Moyes, but Real Madrid are the threat who admire Branthwaite, however, Branthwaite has since shut down Madrid Rumours.

This does look like good news for Everton, but don’t be surprised if either club reignites their interest in the summer.
