Many Everton fans are hoping to see The Friedkin Group make a managerial change soon – and some believe there’s a ‘Special’ appointment the new owners should consider making.
Sean Dyche has drawn huge criticism for Everton’s season so far.
The club are languishing down in 16th place in the Premier League table, and are just one point ahove the relegation zone.
Dyche has taken just 17 points so far, and Everton have scored just 15 goals in the Premier League, a tally Chris Sutton branded ‘unbelievable’.
The lack of threat up top is a major concern, and many feel that things cannot really get much worse at the moment.
But Dyche says The Friedkin Group are supporting him. He knows that he is on borrowed time though, with it being reported The Friedkin Group have spoken to managerial candidates.
Today, there have been suggestions that Jose Mourinho – who is currently at Fenerbahce – is the new favourite to succeed Sean Dyche.
There have been no reports of interest from Everton in the Portuguese. But Everton fans have had their say regardless.
Alan Myers give five-word response to Jose Mourinho to Everton rumour
Earlier today on social media, Alan Myers was asked about whether there was any actual interest from Everton in Mourinho.
Replying to a user on X, he said: “I doubt that very much.”
‘Would get this lot playing’ – Some Everton fans would love Jose Mourinho to replace Sean Dyche

Mourinho is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in football.
The Special One may not be the managerial force he once was, but at the very least he is someone most people would love to see in the league they watch.
And at this moment in time, Everton fans feel that he would actually make a decent appointment right now, despite not yet being linked.
What Jose Mourinho has said about leaving Fenerbahce
Despite the wishes of some fans, it’s probably unlikely that Everton will show interest in Mourinho.
But he did make some comments to suggest he’d be open to leaving Fenerbahce back in October. He said (via Evening Standard): “The best thing I have to do is when I leave Fener is that I go to a club that doesn’t play in UEFA competition. So, a club at the bottom in England who needs a coach in two years, I’m ready to go.”
Jose Mourinho’s Premier League record
Games managed – 363
Wins – 217
Draws – 84
Losses – 62
Goals scored – 625
Goals conceded – 305
Titles won – 3
But days later, he did then say: “I’m not going to go and fight relegation, it’s too hard. Honestly, that has to be the hardest thing, much more difficult than to play for titles. It’s very, very hard emotionally because it’s something that changes lives.
“You know, you stay in the Premier League or you’re relegated, it changes lives, changes lots of things. Brave guys that do it.”
