Everton and West Ham United played out a goalless draw at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Sean Dyche’s side had to rely on a marvellous Jordan Pickford performance to avoid a late defeat in the capital.

The England number one was arguably Everton’s Man of the Match after making a whopping six saves, preventing a 1.21 xG.

Pickford has now kept the second-most clean sheets in the Premier League since the start of last season, only behind David Raya.

The former Sunderland shot-stopper earned most of the plaudits but Everton fans were blown away by one of their outfield stars, too.

Everton fans left blown away by Iliman Ndiaye vs West Ham

Whilst Pickford gained most of the ratings, these Everton fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to hail playmaker Iliman Ndiaye.

“Ndiaye is unbelievable man he’s good every single week,” @BillEvram said.

@Ata1ks said: “Good performance, despite this, we only got 1 point… Solidity at the back, never created any clear-cut chances for Beto/DCL and in the final 3rd we were too predictable, in possession we were good, Ndiaye was amazing—Disappointing to not win.”

“Ndiaye man imagine when he’s playing under a better manager,” @sophefc2023 added.

“Iliman Ndiaye the only outfield player on the pitch worth watching there. Jordan Pickford once again confirming why he’s England’s best,” @Tony_Scott11 said.

“Ndiaye is insane,” @TheEvertonEnd simply said.

@EllBretland posted: “Can’t be understated what a difference Ndiaye makes compared to the Everton sides of the last two or three years. The way he carries the ball and keeps possession buys the team so much key time that simply wasn’t there. He’s restricted so many potential chances for opposition.”

Ndiaye’s impressive stats vs West Ham United

Everton fans have been urging Ndiaye to operate as a number 10 as he was again isolated on the left wing, for the most part.

Though, he still managed to be a threat, as evinced by his impressive Sofascore statistics.

Ndiaye, who earns around £45k-a-week (Capology), isn’t just a creative, attack-minded player, in fact, the former Sheffield United man is excellent at winning the ball back high up the field.

He doesn’t take his defensive responsibilities lightly and is a really hard worker for the team.
