Everton’s summer is revolving around signing attacking improvements for David Moyes.
The opening two pre-season friendlies have provided just one goal for Everton fans to cheer.
Everton have now welcomed Thierno Barry to Finch Farm ahead of their flight to the United States this week.
The Frenchman marks the biggest signing of the summer for the Blues, so far.
Moyes is open to signing two strikers this summer, having lost Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja already this summer.
The Blues are clearly in need of as much additional firepower as they can get ahead of the new campaign.
And one of their striker targets is now on the brink of being omitted from his club’s selection due to the transfer speculation surrounding him.

Everton target Nick Woltemade set for Stuttgart omission
Beto has looked bright in Everton training so far this summer, but the door is still open for more arrivals to land.
With the Blues not exactly racing out of the traps in pre-season, Everton’s interest in Nick Woltemade could ignite over the coming weeks.
The Germany international’s future remains up in the air, and there has now been yet another twist at VfB Stuttgart.
According to Julian Agardi, Bayern are now pulling away from a deal for Woltemade, but the Stuttgart manager Sebastian Hoeneß is considering dropping his striker for their upcoming final.
Bayern and Stuttgart battle it out in the Super Cup next month, and Woltemade is now set to miss out on the final due to his transfer saga.
Everton now have the perfect opportunity to swoop in and secure the services of the youngster.
Even Real Madrid have shown interest in Woltemade; it would certainly be a sign of Everton’s ambition if they follow up their interest.
Everton need more creativity
It has to be remembered Iliman Ndiaye is still to return to the squad ahead of the next pre-season friendly.
However, Everton’s other options may not exactly be filling Moyes with confidence so far this summer.
Youngster Isaac Heath has really impressed for Everton in the early stages of this summer, but the reality is he is unlikely to make an impact under Moyes.
The 62-year-old is demanding more signings ahead of the new season starting.
And it is clear what areas need improving, with Everton keen to bring in attacking options.
