Everton are still in the market for a striker this summer transfer window.

Everton have signed Thierno Barry from Villarreal, but David Moyes remains keen to add another centre-forward to his ranks.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja have both left Finch Farm, so there is still a void that needs to be filled.

Millwall’s Mihailo Ivanovic is on Moyes’ radar after his impressive debut season in the Championship, netting 12 goals.

Now, Everton are making advances to sign a different centre-forward, who the Scotsman actually wanted in January.

Everton make contact to sign Rangers striker Hamza Igamane

Everton tried to sign Hamza Igamane during the January transfer window but were ultimately put off by his £25m price tag.

The Rangers frontman enjoyed a prolific season in Scotland, netting 16 goals whilst laying on three assists, including four in the Europa League.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, the Toffees are now back in for Igamane and have lodged an official enquiry to the Scottish giants.

Lille were primed to land his signature but those negotiations have now stalled, so Moyes and his chiefs have the opportunity to hijack a deal.

Rangers are standing firm on their £15m valuation.

Igamane likened to Didier Drogba

Igamane’s Rangers teammate Leon Balogun has actually likened the Morocco international to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

“Hamza’s had an excellent run, he’s a strong player,” Balogun explained.

“I don’t want to praise him too much, but the way he controls the ball reminds me a little bit of Didier Drogba.”

The 22-year-old uses his body well and is a very physical centre-forward, so he should have no issues plying his trade in the Premier League.

A strikeforce of Barry, Igamane, Beto and potentially Yousseff Chermiti, if he stays, looks really strong.
