Everton release a statement on the Bramley Moore Dock stadium

The Everton’s Fan Forum X account has given an update on their move to a new stadium in Bramley Moore Dock. Work is ongoing on the construction of their 53,000-seated capacity ground in Vauxhall. It is also expected to be ready for the Blues to move into come late 2024.

But some Everton fans are already looking ahead to calling Bramley Moore Dock their home stadium. So, the Everton’s Fan Forum account has moved to assure supporters that existing season ticket holders will be given the choice of where they wish to secure any future seats.

Everton announced the departure of Jean-Philippe Gbamin at the start of September after a failed four years at Goodison Park. He moved to Merseyside from FSV Mainz O5 for £25m in August 2019. But Idrissa Gueye’s supposed heir made just eight appearances at the Toffees.

Injury problems plagued his career in royal blue from the start before loan spells with CSKA Moscow and Trabzonspor. Now, Gbamin has added a new home to his CV as the 28-year-old has now got a new club following his release by Everton in Ligue 2 side USL Dunkerque.

Why England are likely to snub Jarrad Branthwaite whilst at Everton

England are unlikely to award Jarrad Branthwaite a senior international cap all the while the defender plays for Everton. That is according to The Telegraph, which notes that Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate may feel it is hard for the 21-year-old to adapt to their style of play.

Southgate has proven throughout his tenure with England that he will overlook defenders if they are accustomed to defensive systems at the domestic level. He wants the Three Lions to play a high backline and is likely to snub Branthwaite on that basis given Everton’s style.

Branthwaite has been one of the true stars of Everton’s season under the defensive-minded Sean Dyche this term. His efforts also secured the England U21 international a new contract until 2027. The centre-half was just a squad player at the 2023 European U21 Championship.

777 Partners’ chances of sealing Everton takeover are ‘less than 50/50’

Journalist Paul Brown reports the proposed takeover of Everton by 777 Partners is ‘less than 50/50’ likely to go through. That is despite ex-Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein now helping 777 Partners’ buyout of the Goodison team. He is one of the best-connected men in football.

Brown claims 777 Partners have less than a 50% chance of being the new owners of Everton due to the ongoing doubts surrounding their finances. 777 Partners are still yet to prove that they can afford to buy Farhad Moshiri out and, thus, receive the various approvals required.

Abdoulaye Doucoure reveals referee Tim Robinson’s message vs Brighton

Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure says referee Tim Robinson admitted he was wrong to not award a penalty against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday. The Toffees had to take a 1-1 at home to the Seagulls after Ashley Young scored a late own goal in the 84th minute.

Doucoure claims that Robinson told him during the game that the referee admitted he blew his whistle too early and could not award the penalty when Jan Paul van Hecke appeared to bundle Dominic Calvert-Lewin to the ground. The defender was the wrong side of the striker.
