Everton have certainly endured some struggles in their opening 10 games of this Premier League campaign.
Sean Dyche will be looking for a response this weekend from his Everton side with the Blues suffering a hugely underwhelming result on the weekend against Southampton.
Now 10 games deep into the season, the Toffees are only sitting four points clear of the bottom three after their loss on Saturday.
There are clearly some issues at the club with Dyche shocking the Everton side by not starting Jarrad Branthwaite despite the defender being fit.
Although there is some at Everton who have big hopes for Beto still but there is also an interest growing in another striker ahead of the upcoming transfer windows.
However, the Toffees are already experiencing some issues with their interest in landing a new striker.

Everton have interest in Lille’s Jonathan David
According to GiveMeSport, Everton are one of the clubs who are showing a real interest in signing Jonathan David from Lille.
The striker is believed to be set to leave the Ligue 1 side at the end of the season with a move to the Premier League of real interest.
Everton have experienced some real issues at both ends of the pitch this season with Dyche’s side having only netted 10 goals in the league.
| Team | Goals scored |
| Everton | 10 |
| Newcastle United | 10 |
| Manchester United | 9 |
| Crystal Palace | 8 |
| Southampton | 7 |
However, with David, there could be one major issue with Newcastle United said to be the club to watch in this race.
Fulham are also showing an interest in the Canada international but there is a belief that Everton will have a challenge on their hands if they are to land the £42m striker.
Jonathan David would be a big upgrade on Dominic Calvert-Lewin
It has been another difficult start to the season for Dominic Calvert-Lewin with Dyche holding private talks with the striker recently.
Calvert-Lewin’s Everton contract is coming to an end over the coming months with no real indication of the striker inking a new one.
But singing a striker like David could mark a huge upgrade.
| 2024/25 | Jonathan David | Dominic Calvert-Lewin |
| Appearances | 18 | 10 |
| Goals | 13 | 2 |
| Assists | 2 | 1 |
Not only is David impressing in France, but the Canadian is also showcasing his ability on the European stage with goals in the Champions League.
With goals against Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Juventus, David is a player who is going to be in high demand next summer.
