Everton could lose exciting talent in Demi Akarakiri

Braiden Graham caught Everton’s attention over the 2025/26 campaign after returning more than 20 goals across all competitions.

However, the Northern Irishman was not the only standout performer, with Akarakiri also making the leap up from Keith Southern’s U18 side to the U21s.

The Toffees confirmed they have made a contract offer to Akarakiri and await his decision.

Akarakiri seriously impressed for both Everton U18s and U21s, which earned him a regular spot in Tait’s side.

Everton News understands there are a number of clubs from both England and continental Europe that are keen to land Akarakiri.

With the offer on the table for the 18-year-old midfielder, Everton are left sweating over whether the talented prospect chooses to remain on Merseyside.

Making the jump up to first team football will be on the player’s radar for the near future, which may not necessarily be on the horizon at Everton under David Moyes.

Harrison Armstrong has struggled for minutes at Everton since his return from his Preston North End loan earlier in the year.

There remains a lot of unanswered questions behind the scenes in Everton’s academy set-up, which may well cost the club one of their brightest talents.
