As things stand, Everton are not looking to send out Harrison Armstrong on loan for next season.

Having recalled Armstrong from his successful loan stint with Preston North End, the 19-year-old did endure his struggles back at Finch Farm.

David Moyes may have utilised the midfielder initially, but Armstrong’s involvement in the side quickly declined.

Everton’s plans for Harrison Armstrong made clear

Moyes took aim at Armstrong just over a month ago in a bizarre rant over the youngster’s performances in training.

Speaking on A View From The Bullens, The Bobble insisted that Armstrong is not expected to leave the club on loan this summer.

“There is a lot of talk around Harrison Armstrong. I have seen that online a lot, and it has been passed to me frequently,” he said.

“There is nothing in that – nothing at all at this moment. Everton are not looking to loan out Harrison Armstrong whatsoever.”

Since he returned to Merseyside from his Preston loan, Armstrong made 12 appearances in the Premier League.

However, the big concern remains that from March onwards, Armstrong only made three substitute appearances totalling 33 minutes of football.

Everton are working to sign Hayden Hackney, who would only provide further competition for the starting spot alongside James Garner.

If Everton were to sign a player like Hackney, questions would certainly form as to where Armstrong would then lie in Moyes’ pecking order.

The Toffees would have no issue in finding Armstrong another loan, but fans will want to see the Finch Farm product making an impact at Everton.
