Everton are now looking to address their options at right wing following the signing of Jack Grealish.
David Moyes is delighted to see Grealish land on Merseyside in time to feature in their season opener against Leeds United.
“I think we’re getting him at a good time because he’s experienced, he understands the Premier League, and we’re all fully aware of the levels he’s capable of performing to,” said the 62-year-old.
Now, it is time for Everton to use the addition of a serial winner to attract more players before the window shuts.
Moyes wanted nine signings made this summer, and Everton are now not too far away from that figure.
It will now be tight to get any new faces in through the doors before the deadline to play at Elland Road on the weekend.
On top of the clock ticking down, Everton have just hit another stumbling block in their pursuit of one specific target.

Everton hit Abdul Fatawu stumbling block
Ahead of their Grealish signing, Everton also showed interest in Abdul Fatawu of Leicester City.
This comes after Everton pulled out of the race to sign Tyler Dibling, with Southampton valuing him at £50m.
According to Sky Sports, the Toffees are facing a similar issue with the Leicester winger.
It has been claimed Everton are not willing to match Leicester’s valuation of the player, which is set to see the Blues walk away from a deal.
As things stand, Leicester are more likely to offload Bilal El Khannouss, who is receiving interest from across the Premier League.
Everton fans wanted to see Fatawu signed, but it looks as if Kinnear is going to have to go back to the drawing board.
For now, Everton will be able to make do without a new right winger, but that will not be an option planning ahead for the season.
Everton have plenty of right wing targets
After a deal for Dibling hit the rocks last week, Everton News shared a six-man shortlist of wingers at Everton.
That list included:
- Malick Fofana
- Tom Fellows
- Finn Azaz
- Ben Doak
- Omari Hutchinson
Grealish was also included in the list, but he has now been confirmed as an Everton player.
Fofana is receiving interest from Bayern Munich as he awaits a move to a Champions League club, despite Everton’s efforts.
But options from the Championship are clearly an area that Everton are pursuing.
Hutchinson is valued at around £40m, which could lead Everton back to Fellows after a long-standing interest.
An interesting decision certainly awaits the Blues.
