Everton have a number of players out of contract this summer.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has just confirmed he’s leaving Everton with his contract set to end on the 1st of July.

Ashley Young and Abdoulaye Doucoure are among others to have already left Finch Farm, with the latter deciding to pursue new pastures.

Seamus Coleman was due to become a free agent next month, but he’s just committed his future to the club on a one-year deal.

And now, another Everton player looks set to extend his stay despite it looking inevitable he’d leave.

Everton ‘restart’ talks to extend Michael Keane’s contract

Michael Keane was set to leave Everton, and it was being reported that Championship outfit Wrexham were vying to land his signature.

However, in a shock U-turn, the Toffees have now ‘restarted’ talks to renew his contract, according to the Times journalist Paul Joyce.

Michael Keane’s current deal expires tomorrow, but the club are hopeful of reaching an agreement to keep him in the squad.

Moyes would rather allocate funds elsewhere than be forced into signing a replacement for the former England international.

Jarrad Branthwaite and Idrissa Gana Gueye close to new contracts

Jarrad Branthwaite has been linked to Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur over the last few months.

It was being reported that Branthwaite wanted to leave for a Champions League club after being left out of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad.

However, Joyce has now revealed that the 22-year-old is close to extending his contract, as is Idrissa Gana Gueye.

Gueye was being linked to Stade Rennais and there was some concern he could leave, but that is now off the table.

So, Moyes will now have more funds to spend on other areas of the pitch, with the £34m-rated Thierno Barry a target.
