David Moyes will surely pull the plug on potential £25m Everton transfer after recent development

Everton are already plotting their summer transfer business.

The Friedkin Group are making contingency plans in the event Jarrad Branthwaite leaves for Manchester United this summer.

Man United are readying a £50m bid for Branthwaite, however, that evidently won’t be enough with a £70m price tag mooted.

Everton will try to sign Burnley’s Maxime Esteve if the Toffees defender departs, with David Moyes personally scouting him this month.

Moyes has his eye on Tom Fellows, too, who has been the assist king for West Bromwich Albion this term.

A striker will also be high on the list of Everton’s priorities but one of the main targets is now on a barren run of form, which could force Moyes to rethink his plans.

Everton target Hamza Igamane in awful run of form

Everton almost signed Rangers striker Hamza Igamane in January, but his £25m price tag proved to be too big of a stumbling block.

However, only last month, it emerged that Everton had reignited their interest in Igamane ahead of a second attempt to land his signature this summer.

Moyes is clearly a huge admirer of the Morocco international, but perhaps the Friedkin’s should reconsider any forthcoming plans to launch a bid.

Igamane has scored just one goal in his last 14 games, with many suggesting he’s completely devoid of confidence.

The 22-year-old would now be a big risk and perhaps one not worth taking, considering Liam Delap could become available.

Everton should place all focus on Liam Delap

Everton have joined the race to sign Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap, who has scored 12 goals in the Premier League this term.

Toffees bosses are keeping tabs on Delap’s development and could launch an ambitious bid for his services when the window opens.

If Ipswich Town suffer relegation, which looks inevitable, Delap’s £40m release clause will become active.

So it’s certainly a feasible deal to do for the cash-rich Friedkin’s, it’s just whether they can fend off stiff competition from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Brighton.
