Everton are in the market for reinforcements this January transfer window, and a striker is believed to be a top priority.
It’s understood that Everton have a shortlist of strikers that they’re assessing and understanding the conditions of the deal.
Ivan Toney, Jorgen Strand Larsen and Troy Parrott have all been linked with a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Name your Everton signing out of these strikers… 💥
Have we missed anyone out? 🤔
Evan Ferguson, who is on loan at AS Roma from Brighton and Hove Albion, has also been named as a target.
The Toffees are interested in signing Ferguson on loan, and with that said, there has been a fresh development on his situation.

Nottingham Forest join Everton in race to sign Evan Ferguson
Ferguson is expected to return from his loan spell in Italy this winter, with Roma keen on signing two strikers.
The Toffees have a long-standing interest in Ferguson as they explored a deal to sign him this time last year.
Forget your January hopes, what do you actually expect from Everton in the market? 🤔
The 6ft 2in centre-forward is the perfect profile of striker for Moyes’ system, and he does have Premier League experience, which is important to the Scotsman.
But, according to the Daily Mail, Everton are now facing competition from Nottingham Forest for his signature.
Sean Dyche is looking to get one over his former club, although the Toffees should be favourites to sign the Irishman, as they aren’t in a relegation battle.
How is Evan Ferguson doing at Roma?
Ferguson has been in and out of the Roma starting line-up, although he’s actually started four of the last five Serie A games.
- 20 appearances
- 11 starts
- 5 goals
- 2 assists
The 21-year-old’s output isn’t too bad considering his minutes, as he’s been involved in seven goals in 11 starts.
Ferguson has been named Player of the Match in two of his last three games, so clearly, when given the opportunity, he’s delivering.
Speaking earlier this month, he seemed to send an indirect message to his manager about the lack of consistent minutes he’s been getting
“Am I more confident? Strikers need to score, the more you play the more you can do it, so I say yes,” Ferguson explained.
Perhaps with Moyes’ trust, Ferguson can really kick on and show how much potential he has.
