The transfer window is upon us, and David Moyes is actively looking to add more quality to his Everton squad.

Everton are in a really healthy financial position, so the Friedkin Group will give Moyes funds for the right opportunities this month.

The Toffees are in the market for a centre-forward, with former Brentford and now Al-Ahli number nine Ivan Toney on their radar.

Who would be your dream Everton signing this month? 👀

AS Roma midfielder Edoardo Bove is also emerging as a target for Moyes, and Watford’s Imran Louza has been linked, too.

There are several transfer rumours coming out about another position, and it will certainly have an impact on Jake O’Brien.

Everton are clearly desperate to sign a right-back amid several transfer rumours

Everyone knows a striker is Everton’s main priority this month, but it’s becoming apparent that a right-back is also very high on Moyes’ agenda.

The Toffees have been linked to several right-backs over the last few weeks, with Genk’s Zakaria El Ouahdi the latest to be linked to Finch Farm.

Everton want to sign Zakaria El Ouahdi… he looks like an upgrade on Jake O’Brien 🤩

It’s understood that the five players below are all being assessed by Everton, so it would seem O’Brien is set to be replaced.

Moyes has criticised O’Brien for his lack of attacking threat as he’s registered just one goal involvement this term.

Indeed, right-back isn’t his most favoured position, so if Everton do manage to sign one of the aforementioned targets, he will more than likely return to centre-back.

Jake O’Brien explains how he feels playing at right-back

Speaking last year, O’Brien admitted it felt quite weird to attack down the right flank as a 6ft 6in defender.

“It’s different, I mean when he asked me to do it, I kind of just…obviously I wouldn’t say no like… but it was different and I knew I’d kind of like drop into a three at the back,” the 24-year-old explained.

“But then I think in the first week that didn’t really happen as much, I was kinda of, as you said, bombing up the wing and it was weird for me.

Should Everton even be shopping in the Championship for new signings? 🤨

“I’m 6ft 6 running up doing overlaps and stuff. I remember the first time I was running, doing an overlap and in my head I’m like, ‘what am I doing’.”

O’Brien did have a good spell in that role, but this season it’s been much more of a struggle and when he has played centre-back, he’s looked twice the player.
