Everton may still be unsure about whether Sean Dyche has a long-term future at the club, but that cannot stop them from the pursuit of bolstering their squad.
After all, whether the current Everton manager stays or goes is unimportant when taking into consideration the lack of depth they still have across the board.
Most head coaches would have struggled to get a tune out of this bunch, especially with the injuries sustained, yet it does feel like they are finally healing, moving towards more positive results having avoided defeat in their last three in the Premier League.
But, when January rolls around, with Dan Friedkin hoping to have completed his Everton takeover, it could be a different story that finally allows them to compete on the transfer front,
Everton already plotting January transfer plans
The latest on Everton’s transfer plans comes courtesy of Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, who has taken to X to reaffirm Everton’s interest in Silas Katompa Mvumpa.
However, they are not alone in their pursuit, as the tweet reads: ‘EXCL | #Silas might leave Red Star Belgrade this winter. The 26y/o winger is under contract with #VfB Stuttgart until 2026 and currently on loan with #FKCZ.

‘However, a transfer of #Silas in winter is possible as there‘s a release clause of around €10m (£8m). Belgrade would receive the full amount. Several clubs are interested (Everton, Villarreal).
‘Stuttgart have secured a sell-on clause of 10-15 % in case of a winter transfer of Silas who‘s playing Champions League now.’
Who is Silas Katompa Mvumpa?
Silas, who previously went by Silas Wamangituka Fundu, has endured a whirlwind career in professional football ever since bursting onto the scene in France.
Having seen his name and age altered by his former agent, in an effort to assert total control over him, the 26-year-old worked up the courage to reveal his truth during a fine run of form in Germany, still the best time of his career thus far.

There, with Stuttgart, he helped guide them back into the Bundesliga with seven goals and eight assists, yet was far from finished.
Featuring off both flanks in the following campaign, he bettered his performance in the second tier by scoring 11 and assisting five more in the Bundesliga proper, leaving German football stunned.
He combined these fine figures with a pace and creativity that Stuttgart had craved for so long, and it made no impact that they relied heavily on him.
In fact, Orel Mangala, who actually played with Silas in Germany, once noted: ‘He’s a calm guy, but on the field he is really wild. He’s really good at dribbling and is really fast.’
Everton signed Mangala on Deadline Day.

His coach at the time, Sebastian Hoeneß, would echo this sentiment: ‘Silas is really direct and creates so many goal-scoring chances for us.’
Everton have lacked such raw speed and direct attacking play for years now, and for just £8m, his acquisition should mark a no-brainer to bolster their wide options.
