Everton have the potential takeover to look forward to in the future, which could open the door to opportunities with Italian side AS Roma.

There have been rumours that Maurizio Sarri could replace Sean Dyche once the takeover is complete.

David Moyes was another linked with the Everton job, but he won’t want to jump into something so soon.

However, the Everton boss is starting to turn things around at Goodison Park having gone two games unbeaten, including an impressive performance against Newcastle last time out.

The international break now provides the perfect opportunity for Dyche to work with those players who are set to stay behind, to ensure that the Toffees can kick on from here.

Interestingly, he could be without one player when January comes around, as The Friedkin Group already have their eye on a certain someone for AS Roma.

Friedkin could facilitate transfer move between Everton and AS Roma

The Friedkin Group are tied up in 777 Partners and A-Cap’s mess, which caused for a number of Everton fans to become unsettled.

However, things are believed to still be on track.

If the takeover does go through, the Toffees could have the opportunity to make use of the links to AS Roma with a signing or two.

Although, it appears as if AS Roma could make the first move, according to ASRomaLive.it (as per Sport Witness), Beto has emerged as a target for the Italian club.

It’s stated that the connection between the two clubs could ‘facilitate negotiations’ between Everton and Roma for Beto in January.

Beto’s time at Everton so far

Beto joined Everton for £26 million back in the summer of 2023.

The striker just hasn’t been able to find his feet in the Premier League, with just six goals and two assists to his name in 43 appearances.

This led to Fenerbahce and a number of other clubs eye a move for Beto in the summer, but the Toffees decided to keep him.

He actually has three goals and one assist in seven games this season, but two of those goals and the assist came in the EFL Trophy.
