Everton are looking set to be in for a busy end to this summer’s transfer window.
David Moyes admitted more signings could be made when he spoke to the media from Finch Farm on Friday.
That is proving to be the case, with Everton closing in on their ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
Merlin Rohl is on Merseyside for Everton talks, ahead of a potential £17m transfer from Bundesliga side SC Freiburg.
It is claimed Rohl is undergoing his Everton medical at Finch Farm.
The 23-year-old midfielder may not even be the final signing of the window for the Blues.
Everton News understands that Everton are hopeful of bolstering their defence before the 7pm deadline strikes later today.
Ahead of the market shutting for the summer Everton News columnist, Alan Myers, has shared an update from outside of Finch Farm.

Everton plotting multiple moves on deadline day
Already today, Myers has shared his understanding that Tyler Onyango will join Stockport County on loan for the season.
Fans will have a real focus on what new faces could be landing at Finch Farm, though.
Speaking from the Everton training complex for Sky Sports, Myers shared the latest news coming out of Merseyside.
“There is still a couple of positions they would really like to nail down today. And it could still happen today,” Myers said from outside of Finch Farm live on Sky.
“A couple of defensive areas like right-back and centre-back, may be done today. I know they are pushing to do something in those areas today.”
At the start of the day, Myers thought Everton could land two signings, with plenty of loan slots still at their disposal.
But there has also been some news in terms of players they could now keep.
Everton are expected to keep Nathan Patterson, as things stand, following Sevilla’s struggles to offload Juanlu Sanchez.

Everton must add at least one defender
Patterson has suffered an injury issue already this season, which will worry a number of fans about the options at right-back.
Everton have an eye on Hector Fort, Kellen Fisher and Ainsley Maitland-Niles this summer as potential options.
Late movement will likely be eyed right up until the final minutes of the window, with Everton making a clear push to add to their defensive line.
Moyes has already admitted that, defensively, he needs more before 7pm.
“We might try and get another right back but, at the moment, we might just have some other priorities,” Moyes said last week.
A move for a new defender will be something to keep an eye on in these coming hours.
