Everton are closing in on two further contract announcements on Merseyside.

It has been a stressful start to the summer window for Everton, with numerous players departing the club as free agents.

David Moyes was keen to see some faces stick around at Finch Farm heading into the summer, but some were free to leave.

Seamus Coleman has signed a one-year extension after Moyes felt his experience would be crucial ahead of the stadium move.

But the Ireland international is the only player to have been officially announced as retained from the host of departures.

Everton are working on a new deal for Michael Keane, but that is seemingly not stopping them from potentially bringing in another centre-back.

Everton eyeing summer move for Yann Bisseck

Everton are looking to add to their defence over the coming weeks, with additions across the backline being eyed.

It looks as if Everton will be going into the new season with the same centre-back options that they ended last term with.

According to La Repubblica, Everton are one of the clubs showing an interest in the Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck.

A number of other Premier League clubs are also on the scene, with the following clubs credited:

A lot of unrest is playing out in Milan, with players reportedly being told to follow Hakan Calhanoglu out the door if they are unhappy.

Everton have shown interest in Bisseck for a number of months now, but it is apparent they are going to face some serious competition for his signature.

It is, however, interesting to hear Everton are looking to add a defender despite the news on Keane’s contract.

Michael Keane snubs other clubs for new Everton deal

Update: Michael Keane has since officially signed a new one-year deal with Everton.

Keane had interest from other clubs, but the 32-year-old was keen to remain on Merseyside for the stadium move.

It will be interesting to see how this news goes down with Everton fans.

Moyes was impressed with Keane towards the back end of the 2024/25 campaign, but it is a position where fans may have wanted to see a new face brought in.
