Everton are set for an exciting summer and have just been given a tidy bonus.

David Moyes will be taking charge of the incomings this summer, in what seems like a bold move from The Friedkin Group.

The new Everton owners have the opportunity to prove themselves by being ruthless in the market, but whilst also remaining compliant.

Everton have a £60m revenue boost from the new stadium as the Bramley-Moore Dock is proving to be a financial success.

To make things even better, the Toffees have received funds after a recent revelation.

Everton land £51m windfall after Premier League promotions

It’s always handy to be sensible with money as an owner, and The Friedkins will have to avoid the trap of spending too much.

This could happen by the Toffees going for Richarlison who Tottenham fans want £50m for, after they feel his transfer fee hasn’t lived up to the hype.

Moyes will know how to structure the window, and this won’t be the way to do it, but elsewhere, Everton will be gaining a sum of money.

Leeds United and Burnley are returning to the Premier League after they both secured their return to the top-flight on Easter Monday.

This has helped Moyes and Everton, as according to football finance expert Kieran Maguire, following on from Leicester City and Southampton returning from relegation the season prior, parachute payments of £102m were saved.

Now with Burnley and Leeds going up, a further £51m will be saved, which will be divided between the current Premier League clubs after the payments haven’t been paid out.

Everton should take inspiration from Newcastle United with transfer structure

It might be all overwhelming for Evertonians who know money will be spent this summer after previous underwhelming windows, with the Toffees having to comply with PSR.

But with lots of money comes risk, as Moyes saved money for the summer, with Carlos Alcaraz being the only January incoming, and a sensible one at that.

Although smart, it now opens many doors, but Everton should follow the way of Newcastle United, who, yes, have spent a lot, but made smart, sophisticated signings after their takeover from a Saudi-led consortium in 2021.

Not spending loads has paid off dividends, and Everton have the chance to replicate the Toon Army’s success without getting carried away.
