David Moyes will have to start sanctioning signings this summer in what is set to be a competitive market.

The name on every Evertonians’ lips is Richarlison, in what could be a remarkable return.

Moyes likes Richarlison, giving every chance that this deal could get over the line under The Friedkin Group.

However, risk does come with the Brazilian, as Everton fans know, with injury concerns and attitude problems taking centre-stage.

But the striker doesn’t seem welcome at Tottenham anymore after their recent defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Tottenham fans react to Everton target Richarlison

It’s become clear that The Friedkins want Richarlison as the 27-year-old may not play at Goodison Park again, but he can find a place at the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium.

The signing would no doubt be a positive one, despite the risk at play, and it could help get Everton back on the map.

With Beto’s performances now dropping again, the Toffees need a striker they can rely on, and already know what Richarlison can bring.

However, after Spurs’ 2-1 defeat to Forest, Tottenham fans feel like they can’t rely on the Brazilian anymore, even after scoring.

Speaking on X, @MattGav1985 kicked off the comments, saying: “Honestly, I got pelters on here from Everton fans when we signed him…but Richarlison being 1 of our biggest wastes of money is a hill I will happily die on…never rated him, total show pony. 60 million if we’d of gotten him for free, we’d of overpaid.”

@swnwhp said: “We’ve seen what he can do for his national side. Seems like a completely different player from Everton’s Richarlison too.”

@wingfielders posed the question of: “@Everton £50m for Richarlison this summer?”

“Do we still have the receipt for Richarlison? Can we return him to Everton & marked as ‘faulty goods’?” @SteevoSteevo19 joked.

@philyburkhill claimed: “Could see Richarlison heading back to Everton. Nowhere near good enough for any team with ambitions seeking to be at the top of the table.”

@steveirv39 made a bold admission, saying: “How starved have Everton fans been the last few years if they see Richarlison as a class player he’s the worst centre forward I’ve ever seen in a spurs shirt.”

Richarlison performance sends clear message to Everton

With this severe scrutiny on the striker, it’s obvious he’s not wanted in North London anymore.

The Toffees might have come out as the real winners in the original £60m deal, as Everton can sign the 27-year-old for a much cheaper fee no doubt.

However, judging by his performance on Monday night vs Forest, it might send warning signs to the ownership.

Maybe the Brazilian just isn’t the same as he once was after continuous injury struggles, but other hand, maybe a move to Everton could unlock what’s missing.

Richarlison vowed to Everton Champions League football, and a decision needs to be made this summer.
